Areas
of practice

Civil, Commercial and Inheritance Law

Active defense and prevention rely on a strong grounding in Civil and Commercial Law, enabling us to anticipate events, prevent disputes and ensure that growth and stability align with economic cycles, market conditions and social development.

Our extensive experience in the world of legal procedure and litigation has taught us that the best way to achieve success and balanced growth, adapt to social or technological advances and, in short, prevent disputes from going to court where possible, is through appropriate strategic planning and prevention, addressing all aspects of a case by involving subject-matter specialists.

This is why our daily practice has also naturally led us to specialise in those areas of the Law in which we often appear before courts and arbitration tribunals. In particular, we have developed significant expertise in Inheritance Law, a field where we have actively participated in significant disputes.

Procedural
Law and ADR

Our firm specializes in Civil, Commercial and Criminal Procedural Law.

We therefore make the most of our broad court litigation expertise to serve our clients while always keeping an eye on our primarily goal, which is to leverage our broad professional experience to prevent disputes, where appropriate devising the best possible strategy to help the parties reach a satisfactory agreement that ends the dispute and helps rebuild the relationship between them as required in today’s business world.

This is also why we firmly believe in alternative dispute resolution methods and why we regularly act as lawyers representing parties before arbitration tribunals or as arbitrators for renowned institutions such as the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Court of Arbitration of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB), the Barcelona Arbitration Court (TAB) and the Court of Arbitration of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, among others.

As mediators, we also facilitate the resolution of commercial disputes between companies, actively proposing mutually agreeable solutions, saving the parties money and energy.

Finally, we regularly handle criminal aspects arising from financial disputes that are often closely connected to other civil or commercial matters, precisely with the aim of providing our clients with global and comprehensive advice.

Insolvency
Law

Parties in the business world must inevitably face difficult times that require good active support and prevention. As a result, Insolvency Law should not be approached in isolation but should instead be treated as the area where all aspects of a business activity converge when it has not necessarily been carried out with the adequate caution and advice for prevention.

In accordance with our vision of Insolvency Law, we must therefore consider businesses holistically, from their inception to their daily operations and strategic growth, and naturally preventing inconsistencies in their growth.

International
Law

With cross-border operations becoming increasingly prevalent, there is a growing need for lawyers to get more involved in advising and defending clients against foreign parties.

At Garriga Correa Delcasso Abogados, we firmly believe that, due to the increasing complexity of today’s international relations, providing the best possible advice requires the involvement of highly specialized and independent lawyers or law firms, carefully chosen based on their expertise.

This is why, as part of our commitment to providing the best possible practitioner for each case in accordance with our clients’ specific needs, our firm has decided not to join any international networks.

As a result of decades of collaborations with qualified professionals from other countries, we have established an outstanding network of top-tier collaborators with whom we work on a regular basis to address our respective clients’ queries, ranging from establishing companies in Spain to international lawsuits.
